Description

Chanson Cowl, designed by Leah Prestamo, is a substantial neck warmer, with lots of comforting stocking stitch fabric set off by a pretty lace stitch pattern. What’s more, it is a great way to use up leftover bits of yarn from knitting a matching Chanson Cardigan.

This pattern is for a tube scarf worked in the round, with the ends grafted together to form a cowl. Length can easily be modified by working more or fewer repeats of the lace section and adding or removing a corresponding number of stockinette stitch rows.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% Merino wool, 30% Masham wool, 10% mohair, 300 m (328 yd) per 100 g hank) in Scafell Pike - 2 hanks
The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50g hank) in Seraphic – 2 hanks

Construction notes:

This pattern is for a tube scarf worked in the round, with the ends grafted together to form a cowl. Length can easily be modified by working more or fewer repeats of the lace section and adding or removing a corresponding number of stockinette stitch rounds.
