Machnamh Pattern

Machnamh is essentially a large rectangle with two slits for armholes and has a lot of designed-in versatility. The piece can be worn in several ways – a long coat version, a shorter hooded vest or with a big cozy collar.

14 sts and 22 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st using 6mm (US 10) needles.
14 sts and 24 rows to 10 cm (4 in) in seed stitch pattern using 6mm (US 10) needles.
