Description
Astro Pop by Marie Greene is a lightweight, short-sleeve tee featuring a striking zig-zag striped yoke and delicate lace details along the sides of the body. Worked seamlessly from the top down, it begins with short row shaping at the back neck for a comfortable fit, then flows into an engaging yoke pattern using a larger needle to preserve gauge across textures. The body is knit in the round after the sleeve separation, keeping the process smooth and satisfying, with the sleeves picked up and finished last. This modern take on a vintage classic is designed with both flair and wearability in mind, effortlessly slotting into a handmade wardrobe—ideal for layering or wearing solo on warmer days.
The Fibre Co. Acadia comes in a beautiful palette of rich and neutral shades, giving you the perfect opportunity to create a colour combination that makes the zig-zag stripes of your Astro Pop tee truly shine! Spun from a luxurious blend of merino wool, baby alpaca, and silk noil, Acadia delivers a rustic elegance with exquisite drape and texture. It’s the ideal choice for knitters who want a sweater that feels just as beautiful as it looks.
Astro Pop kits are also available in Luma and &Make DK.

Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Acadia (60% Merino wool, 20% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 133 m (145 yd) per 50 g hank) in shades Camden (MC) – 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) hanks, Driftwood (CC) – 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) hanks and Aspen (AC) – 1 hank (all sizes).
Colours:
To help choose your kit colours, select colour 1 for the Main Colour (MC), colour 2 for the Contrast Colour (CC), and colour 3 for the Accent Colour (AC). These colours are used as follows:
Colour 1 (MC) – used on the lower body.
Tips for choosing the Main Colour: Darker shades work well here, since they’re lower on the body and often create a flattering silhouette. But “darker” doesn’t have to mean boring. Think BOLD, FUN colours that you might love, but may not necessarily want next to their faces.
Colour 2 (CC) – used on the yoke.
Tips for choosing the Contrast Colour: Neutrals, light colours, and colours we want closer to our faces work best here.
Colour 3 (AC) – used in the zig-zag pattern.
Tips for the Accent Colour: This colour should stand out from the other two and will be used on the zig-zag pattern on the yoke.
