This cowl is knit in the round as a seamless tube, with the right side always facing you—perfect for hiding your floats and tails neatly inside. Once complete, the tube is given a single twist and grafted together, creating a polished, Mobius cowl that helps it drape beautifully around the neck. The result is a soft, squishy, statement accessory that’s as easy to wear as it is satisfying to knit.

The kit combines two luxurious yarns from The Fibre Co., Cirro and Transitions. Cirro—a blend of Suri alpaca, organic cotton, and Merino wool—gives the cowl a plush, lofty feel with a gentle halo that adds to its cosy appeal. Paired with Transitions, a softly colour-shifting yarn, the fabric comes alive with the contrasting tones and depth that elevate the simple construction. Together, these yarns create an irresistible texture and visual flow, making this project a joy on and off the needles.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50 g hank) in shade Galaxy – 1 hank.

The Fibre Co. Transitions (50% alpaca, 50% Peruvian Highland
wool, 300 m (328 yd) per 100 g cake) in shade Daybreak Shimmer– 1 cake.

Note: Cirro (held single) is the yarn substitute for the lace-weight alpaca (held double) in the pattern.
