Description
This lovely poncho begins by first working the contrasting color panel with cable. Stitches are then picked up along the long edge of this panel in the main color and worked in seed stitch to the finished length. The rectangle is folded in half and the right shoulder is seamed.
The Irish word for friend is cara, which would be used as a greeting at the beginning of a letter. It would translate to addressing a letter with the expression “O Friend!”
