Description

Designed to echo the quiet elegance of the seaside, the Fanshell Tee’s enchanting lace shell pattern cascades gracefully down the center front and along the sleeves. Knitting with the luxuriously soft Amble, you’ll feel the gentle embrace of the soft merino and alpaca fibres as the piece is worked in the round from the bottom up.

The neckline, hem, and cuffs are edged with garter stitch and reflect the subtle allure of the seaside’s simplistic beauty. Tailor this piece to your preference with three sleeve lengths, allowing for a personal touch of comfort and style. Ideal for soul-soothing strolls and moments of quiet reflection, this top isn’t just worn—it’s experienced.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Amble (70% Easy-wash Merino wool, 20% Easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon, 325 m (355 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Heathland
– 2 [3: 3: 3: 4: 4: 4: 5: 5] hanks for the short sleeve version,
– 3 [3: 3: 4: 4: 4: 5: 5: 5] hanks for the elbow length version, and
– 3 [3: 3: 4: 4: 5: 5: 5: 6] hanks for the ¾ sleeve length version.

Construction notes:

This tee is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round to the underarms, where the front and back are separated and worked flat. Stitches are cast on for the sleeves, which are worked flat together with the upper body. Short row shaping is incorporated at the shoulders for an improved fit. The Lace Shell pattern panels are worked separately and joined to the shoulders. To finish the edges, stitches are picked up for the cuffs and neckband, which are worked in garter stitch in the round.
