Description

Wrap up in style, warmth, and a touch of oceanic beauty in the Pelagic Scarf! Also found on our Pelagic Cardigan, this travelling rib stitch pattern brings to mind the infinitely rolling waves of the sea.

The scarf is worked flat in Tundra, a bulky blend of fine Merino wool, baby alpaca, and silk that offers lightweight warmth and soft fabric with a fabulous loft, perfect for the coziest of accessories. Spend some time with this gorgeous yarn and let your mind wander to soothing seashores as you work on this relaxing project.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Tundra (60% baby alpaca, 30% Merino wool, 10% silk, 109 m (120 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Lingonberry – 3 hanks.

Construction notes:

This scarf is worked flat in a Traveling Rib stitch pattern, with a Backwards Loop Cast-On and Tubular Bind-Off. The cast-on is done using waste yarn, which later gets removed once a few rows have been worked, leaving a neat edge.
